Tour Line-up

• Pick up from your hotel and depart to Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which was first used as a summer retreat by the royal court in the 17th century. Originally built by King Prasat Thong in 1632, Wat Niwet Thamprawat, Thailand’s only Neo-Gothic monastery, is located on an island in the Chao Phraya River across the river from the Palace. After that, depart to Ayuthaya to explore the ancient town and world heritage site.Visit Wat Mahathat, the temple was built in the late 13th century by King Borommarachathathirat 1 (the third king of Ayuthaya of the Suphannaphum Dynasty, The well-known image of the Buddha’s Head, with tree trunk and roots growing around it.

• The final destination is at Wat Chaiwatthanaram, one of Ayutthaya’s most impressive temples, which was built in the style of the Khmer mountain temples of Angkor to represent the universe in Buddhist and Hindu cosmology. Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Royal temple that was used by the King and other members of the Royal family and was largely destroyed by the Burmese armies in 1767 and was restored by the Fine Arts Department during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.

• After visiting Wat Chaiwatthanaram, return to Bangkok and drop off at your hotel before 17:00 pm.
